Imperfect perfection

Finally reworked on my previous project 'The Cat With No Eyes'.

Redid the layout and typography, printed and bound the book.

I made some fanzines last year but this is the first proper book I've bound.

Not a perfect perfect-bound, but it is a very satisfying experience to finish making a book from scratch:)

OK need to carry on with my portfolio preparation.

Flamenco dancer

Drawings from the last life drawing class of the term last week.
I could only stay for 15 minutes so only managed to do a couple of quick sketches.
This was the first time I had a female model in sometime, so I really wished I could have stayed for longer:/

Pink bluebird

Two months after I finished designing these wedding invites, I finally got to see the printed version.

In fact 2 weeks ago we ordered some prints from an online printing shop and the quality of the print turned out to be quite disappointing...

I deliberately chose to print on recycled paper but it turned out to be not what my client's after.

So we decided to get them printed again, and this time with a more vivid colour palette.

The feel is a bit different from my original design, but I am quite happy with it.

The design consists of the birth flowers of the couple, and a bluebird, which symbolises happiness.
Not the most original idea, but I think it's appropriate for this wedding.

 It was really fun getting dressed up and doing some quick sketches. Will definitely be going again.

Assessment in a day. And exhibition in a week.
